The Documentary "Tea-Horse Caravan Road" Marco Polo's Silk Road is called Tea-Horse Caravan in the southern of China. This is the first documentary film in China to uncover the panoramic view of the Tea-Horse Caravan Road. Ranging from the snowfield over 6000 meters above sea level to the green oasis with an elevation of only 200 meters, the horse drivers accomplished the journey of 30,000 Kilometers in straitened circumstances, crossing over three climatic zones, involving 28 minority nationalities, the film maker made a real and longitudinal record of the whole journey and lives of the endangered horse caravans. Amidst the virgin forests of the "Grand Triangle" of Yunnan, Tibet and Sichuan, the mysterious ancient road is winding around. Because of its mystery people named it as the "Tea-Horse Caravan Road". In the past thousand of years, the forefathers of the horse drivers carrying tea and various agricultural products struggled along the rugged terrain, enduring the hardships of survival among the areas of snowfield of Tibet, Yunnan and Sichuan. Somebody phrased the Tea-Horse Caravan Road as a natural state of lives, where you can feel a sense of circulation among between people, earth and the heaven. As a child of the earth, the Tea-Horse Caravan Road is like a vein networks flowing in the south of China. The story of Tea-Horse Caravan Road is an epic and legendary account of the glorious past of the horse caravans.
