There is no replacement for Sylvie, one of Delhi’s chic hairdressers, who caters to the young generation and their obsession with how they look. Sylvie though a cross dresser, is now center stage in the world of the high fashion.
Sonal Sawant, a young Art Director in Mumbai religiously puts lime and chilli outside her office to ward of the evil eye. 25 years old Sonal’s connection with work, friends and family happens through her cell phone. The film finds her holidaying in Goa where she meets her NRI ( non resident Indian) friend Sharmila. Sharmila lives in London and has come down to India to meet friends and family.
The film explores the relationship that Sonal, an Indian career woman shares with Sharmila, an aspiring professional living in London.
Dharma Zapping is finally about post modernist youth, a time and place where history and tradition has lost its way. It is a 28 minutes video documentary shot in Mumbai, Goa and Delhi.
