Established in 1999, Shanghai Image Maker is the foremost solution to all television and film production needs in Mainland China. Entirely funded by a private company in New York, Image Maker has utilized its 50 million U.S. budget to create a 200acre film lot complete with multiple large indoor, air-conditioned soundstages, and a 200 room hotel to accommodate a crew of any size. All of the structures in the film lot have practical interiors, with architecture depicting multiple eras of Chinese history. In addition, Image Maker has on location facilities that could construct film sets needed in a short time. Martial arts actor Jet Li's latest movie Fearless was shot almost entirely at Image Maker. Other clients include Oscar winner Ang Lee, film legend Jackie Chan, etc.
Located in Songjiang district of Shanghai, Image Maker is 35 minutes drive to downtown Shanghai. There are also multiple high speed roads that connect Songjiang to surrounding cities.
