The play tells a story of a loyal family, under the background of Chongqing Bombing, sacrificing their lives in the nation's tragedy. The Zhou family had 5 sons and daughters, with the oldest son a division commander for Kuomintang, second son a high official for Communist Party, youngest son taking part in air force. The daughter finally devoted to espionage with her fiancé due to their conflict in affection. There were also some kinds of small potatoes in Zhou Family. They did not have a clear understanding of rights of country and nation, but in the bombing, they underwent war chaos and trial and grew up to be undaunted Chinese. By virtue of vicissitudes of a loyal family, the play presents a group of Chinese with good characters and heroic spirit, dedicating their life to save the nation out of danger and aggression.
