From May to November, in the year 2006, Alan, the production director, led the production crew of Discover Kangba, which was named by the director of propaganda department of Ganzi Committee of CPC, went to Tibet for three times, and shot more than 40 episodes of this long folk-custom theme film in Xiangcheng, Derong, Luhuo, Dege, Baiyu,and Danba within Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous County.
The production crew need not only to keep riding on the plateau of 3000-5000 meters high, bearing the strong altitude-sickness, but also walk on the cragged mountain edge for 30-40 kilo meters everyday or climb over the cliffs if needed.
Although The hardship is unbearable, they still feel more happy,joy, and sympathy.
On 13th, October, 2006, the crew came to the last patrilineal tribe, Shanyan village with food and vegetales brought from outside. Shanyan and Gongjue is separated by the river. This place is very poor, lagged and closed. People here call themselves Geba. They still continue to live in an original patrilineal life style.
